YALE WEEK IN TURKEY DRAMA WORKSHOP
In order to develop further its ties with Turkish institutions and the Turkish people, Yale University undertook an exciting series of events to take place in Turkey. Yale faculty, staff, students and alumni participated in the events which took place in Istanbul between 26 May- 2 June 2010. Within the scope of Yale Week a drama workshop was realized in collaboration with Beyoğlu Municipality.
World wide famous Yale University which is an international centre for all branches of arts with its art, drama and music schools organized a workshop for the students at the age range of 13-18 at Muammer Karaca Theatre in collaboration with Beyoğlu Municipality. Yale Drama Students educated the youngsters on a drama based training for pandomime and clown performance. Youngsters put on their play on stage and were thrilled to be performing it to the audience and especially to the Mayor of Beyoğlu Ahmet Misbah Demircan, General Consul of the USA; Sharon Anderholm Wiener and Yale School of Drama Associate Professor; Chris Bayes.
